Help Me! I'm Dying

Most people will wrestle with some degree of depression during their lifetime. One recent study revealed that one in ten Americans suffers from a serious bout of depression each year. During any 6-month period, 9 million American adults will suffer from a depressive illness. It is as frequent as the common cold.

The world is dying today, due to depression. The devil wants to destroy us in every possible way, because he came to kill, to steal, and to destroy. If he can cause us to feel hopeless or see life as useless, he can and will destroy us. We must understand that life is good and God created everything to be good (I Timothy 4:4-5), and also according to (Ephesians 2:10) we are his workmanship created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath ordained that we should walk in it. In other words God created everything to be good that was associated with us and the devil wants to corrupt us to make us think and act evil. Anything contrary to good emotions and actions takes away the good that God created. Depression represents the bad fruits associated with satan.

Depression will cause us to lose our focus on God. We will focus on our defeats and our failures when we are depressed. The bible tells us to think on whatsoever things are lovely and of a good report. We must understand that we will always have failures while we are here on earth according to (John 16:33), but God can take a mistake, and make it a miracle. God can take a defeat and turn it into a victory because He is the Creator. Don’t let depression rule your life today because you will lose your focus on God.

Overflowing Joy

Joy can be described as a state of happiness or well being due to success and victory in ones life, or a source or cause of delight. To experience joy is a desired outcome that God has established for our lives. In the book of Philippians the word rejoice or joy is mentioned many times in scripture.  In Philippians 4:4, Paul said I will rejoice in the Lord always. You see Paul understood the necessity of his joy in overcoming persecutions and afflictions in his life. He also understood that Christ was magnified in rejoicing. Without real joy in our lives there can be no overcoming or victory or exalting of Christ.

In Philippians chapter 1, he recognized that he could give it all up  and experience joy in heaven, but he also recognized that real joy must be manifested in the natural realm, before he could experience it in the spiritual realm. He traded his old life of misery for the new life of joy, because the Apostle Paul recognized that he was to suffer all things for the elect sake that they might experience a furtherance of faith and joy. When we are going through various trials in our lives whether through people or circumstances, joy is necessary to win souls and finish our course in Christ. At that point we can be like Paul and say I fought a good fight,  finished my course, and I have kept the faith.

Got Faith!

According to Hebrews 11:1, faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. When we begin to understand substance, it means reality. What this word means is that we are expecting something in our lives that is real and concrete. We are looking to God to actually manifest the reality of what we are imagining and praying about. When we focus on what God has actually promised us, imagine it in our minds, and believe in our hearts, we will see the evidence or proof of the blessing. God has designed everything in this world by faith. In other words according to Hebrews 11:3, we see that through faith the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made by things which do appear.

In a time of economical destruction and recession we have to understand that God created all things. In other words before we can see the evidence of what he created, we have to be sold out to our faith. We can't look at what we visibly see, we have to examine and trust what we don't see. Everything came into existence when God spoke by faith. During economic woes every word we speak must be a faith word. We have the ability through God to create as he created. This means that by having a heart of faith, and foundation of faith, we can frame our world. Our world is how we see it. Faith allows us to frame and change our circumstances. God needs something to work with before He can move. Hebrews 11:6, states that without faith it is impossible to please God. God moves by faith, because without it there is no pleasure given to Him. God takes pleasure in the prosperity of his saints. We must understand that God's pleasure to provide all of our needs comes by faith.

How To Unleash Your Faith

In today's society there is a great need for faith. Faith by definition means complete trust or confidence, loyalty and trustworthiness. During financial and economical issues faith is what determines endurance. Many people are going into depressions, committing suicides, and suffering major health issues due to the economy. Jesus Christ has given us a way out by our trust and confidence in him. The bible tells us in Proverbs 3:5 to trust in the Lord with all thy heart and lean not to thy own understanding. In all thy ways we must acknowledge Christ and he will direct thy paths.

Faith is a heart condition and trust must first start in the heart. King David understood that the word was faith. Christ word is faith. In Psalm 119: 11, King David said that he hid Christ word in his heart that he might not sin. We can't believe what our emotions tell us or our minds. When we walk in unbelief or worry sin is on the scene. We have to stand on the condition of our heart and purify our hearts by filling it with Christ's words. David’s faith is what defeated the giant Goliath. Any giant that is hindering your success can be brought down and destroyed by faith. Proverbs 3:5 is telling us to lean not to our own understanding. In my conclusion, we must not try to figure the economy out or even worry. Worry brings stress which eliminates faith, and causes sicknesses, suicide, depression, and disease. Worry is fear and fear is the enemy of faith.

Are You Free From the Curse

Jesus came to set the captives free and give us life and life more abundantly. According to Exodus 20:3-5, a generational curse is a judgment passed on to individuals because of sins of ancestors or forefathers. A generational curse has access to us through open doors of sin in our life. The generational curse or struggle comes by way of the father. If we are to be transformed from a curse to a blessing, we have to be totally obedient to the word of God.

In the book of Deuteronomy 28, we are informed that if we are obedient blessings will overtake us, if we are disobedient curses will overtake us. Accepting Christ and transforming our lives into the image of Christ will break curses. If we struggle with  lust, anger, lying, and stealing this is a curse. If one of our forefathers committed this act, it was passed on to his generation. The iniquity or the habit must be broken in order for this curse to stop. We don't have to be cursed because our father was cursed. God has given us a way out and we must choose which avenue to take.

Mustard Seed Faith

During these last days people are falling away from the faith. Many circumstances, calamities, destructions, and disasters have caused people to stop believing. We must understand that even though these things happen they are necessary. Christ already forewarned us in John 16:33, that in the world we shall have tribulation. Tribulations consist of disasters, troubles, afflictions, and disappointments. The fact of the matter is that we must understand that our faith will determine our destiny. There are a lot of people who have died and received Christ in or near their deaths.

The ultimate goal is to make it in to heaven where there will be true happiness and joy. The book of

I John 2:17, states that this world is going to pass away, and the lusts thereof, but he that does the will of God will abide forever. In other words in spite of destruction and disasters the person who walks by faith, and trusts in God for salvation will live forever. There is no time for us to waiver with unbelief and doubt, because up and down faith is dangerous and lethal. There has to be a consistent ongoing belief and trust even in difficult times. The bible informs us in the book of Hebrews 10:23, to hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering, for He is faithful who promised.

To hold onto our faith without wavering will help us finish our course. God is faithful and will never fail us. There are times in our lives when we are unfaithful, but God is always faithful. The character of God is one of faithfulness. Our belief in him will carry us through the hard times. If we look unto God He will allow our vision to align with His vision. He will take us into the realm of the untangible. The untangible is the unseen finish to our end. According to II Timothy 2:13 God already has informed us that if we believe not, he still abides faithful because he cannot deny himself. The reputation of Christ is one that can't be tarnished due to our unbelief. He will complete his destiny for our lives. The potter will mold us and shape us to conform to his destiny and plan. Just give Him a mustard seed faith and watch Him move.

Cursings or Blessings ~ You Pick

There are times in our lives when we witness ourselves struggling with the same old habits and sins that our ancestors or forefathers struggled with. The bible states in II Corinthians 5:17, that if any person is in Christ they are a new creation. In other words old behavior and sin patterns are passed away.

The source behind generational curses are ancestral spirits which keep us chained to bad habits. If we refuse to identify those areas that are under attack, and refuse to apply the blood of Christ, it we will be subject to a generational curse. We have to renounce and denounce every negative word spoken over our lives whether it came by us or someone else. We have to shut every door of sin that has transformed lack into our lives.

Jesus Christ died on the cross so we can be set free from every personal curse and generational curse. If we refuse to be saturated and controlled by the Holy Spirit we are walking in a curse. It is not God's will for us to lack, have sickness in our bodies, or be bound by the chains of the enemy.
